BECOME A LICENSED S’WET™ INSTRUCTOR!
S’WET™ is the exclusive Structured Water Exercise Training program that combines the benefits of swimming, water exercise, and resistance training. Developed by industry expert, Jenni Lynn Patterson-LaCour, S’WET™ offers a unique approach to high intensity aquatic fitness that challenges participants to push themselves to their limits, while also focusing on safety and proper form.
As a licensed S’WET™ instructor, you will learn how to teach classes that are both fun and effective, using a variety of techniques and equipment. In addition, you will be trained in the S’WET™ philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of staying active and engaged in order to achieve long-term success.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED / PREREQUISITES:

While we encourage everyone to join us in the pool, this Instructor Training is designed specifically for qualified aquatic fitness instructors with at least 6-months of previous teaching experience. The training program requires a base-line education and understanding of the properties and principles behind aquatic fitness, as well as a firm grasp of the terminology and general exercises used to design a safe and effective workout.
We highly encourage you be educated and certified by an accredited aquatic fitness body like the AEA, SCW, Wave Makers, or US Water Fitness, and retain AFAA/ACE/ACSM/NASM as a base with aqua continuing education. You DO NOT have to be current with these certifications, so long as you have previously been trained.
Additional Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old to become certified or host an instruction program

Must be CPR/AED Certified

Must possess a level of fitness to teach a one hour high-energy class on land and in water

Must obtain/maintain your own general or professional liability/insurance policy if not already covered by your facility or gym.

Q: WHAT IS S'WET™ ?

Q: WHO CAN BECOME CERTIFIED?
A: Please review our list or prerequisites above for this program. In addition to being a qualified water fitness instructor with previous experience teaching, you must also be passionate about our mission to change the perception of aquatic fitness. To become certified, you must understand the properties and qualities of water, as this is the main tool used in the S’WET™ program.
Q: WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
A: We understand every pool and facility is different and we will teach you how to use the equipment available at your facility -- hand buoys, noodles, kickboards, webbed gloves, etc. Additionally, in order to offer an official S’WET™ class, you should have access to a pool wall for up to half the class at a time.
Q: WHAT DOES MY FACILITY NEED TO OFFER A S'WET™ CLASS?
A: Facilities will need the following conditions in order to offer an official S’WET™ class: Access to a shallow water pool (min 3.5”, max 5”) with temperatures set between 81-86 degrees. You will also need a minimum of 10 square feet per participant and access to the wall.

A: Upon completion of this program, you will be able to teach safe, effective and challenging aquatic fitness classes that integrate our S’WET™ philosophy and formula for success. S’WET™ is a trademarked program, and your certificate will provide you with a one-year license to use the name and logo as part of your class schedules and marketing. You will also get access to our former S'WET™ videos, presentations and audio content for FREE plus an official manual detailing one full class with visual and text guidance. But wait...there's more! Certified instructors will also have an option to join our monthly subscription service - the S’WET™ SQUAD - which will give exclusive members-only content updated monthly. The S'WET SQUAD subscription will also offer one-on-one and group virtual meetings with Jenni Lynn Patterson-LaCour and her team to provide additional coaching techniques and to answer questions along your journey, including instructor self-care exercises.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THE S'WET™ CERT REMAIN ACTIVE?
A: S’WET™ and S’WET by Jenni Lynn Fitness™ is a trademarked program, and your certificate will provide you with a one-year license to use the name and logo as part of your class schedules and marketing, as well as links to our site with an instructor page showing your classes. At the end of your first year, if you are not an active member of the S’WET™ SQUAD network, you will be given the option to renew your license through continuing your education by attending another S'WET™-branded instructor training, repeating the original certificate or paying a flat annual renewal fee.
Q: CAN I HOST A S'WET™ CERT AT MY FACILITY?
A: YES!!! We would love to bring the S’WET™ Instructor Training to your facility. Our schedule is filling up fast, so please contact us for details on pricing, availability and needs. In addition to the pool details listed above, hosts will need access to a large enough classroom or open meeting space for up to six hours. You will also need access to at least 2-hours of pool-time - a minimum of one hour time slot in the morning and one hour in afternoon. Equipment may vary, but we highly encourage hand-buoys for every participant. Hosting facility must also have a workable A/V system and access to a presentation room.
